After dedicating numerous years to advancing women’s rights, we have embarked on a new initiative aimed at providing skills and employment opportunities for men. In pursuit of this goal, Zephaniah Free Education has forged a partnership with an organization committed to offering free training programs to the young men and boys in our region. Those who excel in these training programs will have the chance to secure employment through this organization.

Today, my team and I visited a village to spread the word about this initiative, encouraging men to enroll in these invaluable training opportunities.

Our motivation behind this endeavor is to address the issue of street harassment. Many young boys, devoid of skills and employment prospects, find themselves idling on the streets, engaging in harassment of young women. This distressing situation often compels parents to restrict their daughters’ education and career choices, confining them within the confines of their homes.

Our belief is that by providing young men with meaningful employment, we can divert their energies towards constructive pursuits, reducing incidents of street harassment. This, in turn, will enable girls to move about freely, ensuring a safer environment for them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

We envision a future where both young men and women can thrive and coexist harmoniously, breaking down the barriers that have held them back for far too long.
